EP Designs: Part Two

So, my aspirations and directions for the narrative’s concept have being revalued which has meant the design concepts have also being reassessed. Originally, I was going to base the design around a few key factors the most important element being the jigsaw. Which metaphorically represented the complexities of my condition Asperger’s and the title of the EP Enigma. The jigsaw being the puzzle of mystery. Granted this was a cool concept but I have since assessed my direction and although I still intended to produce a body of work which represented breakbeat culture. Instead of Drum and Bass being the singular genre I have chosen to produce work more related to Hip Hop instead. Honestly after working on another project that involved Drum and Bass, I really lost my creative spark for this type of production at present. I was becoming increasingly frustrated with my musical compositions so decided to change my artistic direction. I was aiming for something a little bit more relatable to a Lo-Fi Hip Hop style with an emphasis to maybe fine line illustration possible of old cassette tape or the floppy disk or maybe even the outline of the EMU- SP1200 drum machine a kind of homage to my admiration for classic Rap music and production.
