Major Project Outline Part Two

So, at the halfway stages of this project the initial conceptual idea has once again found itself developing in new direction. The original readvised version was to produce a finished artefact in the form of an EP rather than album at that is still very much my intentions. The contents and type of genre is the significant new development. The original idea was to produce a body of work that would reflect my aspirations, frustrations and tribulations as a high functioning on the spectrum artist and individual. With the intention of highlighting an awareness of the many struggles myself and many like me face on a day to day basis while trying to function within a society which at times seems to alienate us. This concept for the project has once again been readvised with the intention now to produce an EP as a purely instrumental involving elements of hip hop, funk and film scoring.

The overall outcome was to choose themes from certain subject’s matter within society and use the music as a satire to highlight them. The reasoning behind my new direction was first influenced by another one of my assignments initially which lead me to the conclusion that I did not feel comfortable with this type of production, so decided to revaluate the project which changed its course. I am fully aware that through the early stages of this assignment there have been multiple occasions where the project subject matter and content have changed but confident that this has been all part of the learning process.
